I should write about the fact that we did win a court battle today.  We won the Writ without even having to go to court, or what's called a bench judgment.  If we had lost the Grana's could have basically just walked in and picked up all the files and taken over the business and that would have been it.  I think at that point we might have just been able to pack in the bags and started to spend money on defending any future collection efforts they would have.  I'm still not certain this wasn't our best option.

Anyway, Jacob's birthday party was this weekend and he had a great time.  The backyard filled up sooo fast with kids it's unbelievable.  Peter and Erin actually came and that was nice.  We discussed a new business venture with Edgar that is based on text message prizes, pretty interesting how you can get money out of people.  Teens with no sense of what things cost and how they add up is the best.  I mean shoot they send a text and you get $1.00.  Not too bad.

So today really starts my first day in August and it's 7 days in... I had a great month last month with 113k in PN and a bonus about 15k, that's nice.  If I can keep my bonuses above 8k per month I think we'll be all right.  That's not too hard if you can hit the heritage gate, that makes a killer difference right there.  The one thing I'm not too sure about right now is my Insurance license.  I accidentally let it lapse when I went back to work and it expired on June 30th so I have been operating for the last 30 days without a license.  I took care of it on Friday with the state but won't be official until 2 more weeks.  I think I need to call AML today and let them know that I have a concern here, they are going to find out anyway so I might as well start dealing with any problems right away.
