Today I helped a family who couldn't even afford a diret burial.  Fortunately they owned the property casket, marker and open/close.  They went out and borrowed almost all of the 1630 that they needed to pay for the services and we extended them some credit on the rest.  It's dissappointing to see that they just couldn't afford it but in our current environment we just can't give away services.  The reality is if we wouldn't discount services for this family then no family is deserving of a discount.  Guess it is what it is.

Anyway this week was interesting, work was actually pretty tough and I really didn't do too well.  I got a lot of work to do to get this month moving.  Not only have I not even been able to work out one dignity plan but PN has really been slow.  None of my carryover matured into anything as usual but I'm sure there's a lot of stuff coming.

On Wednesday I got to the train station and the train was delayed to an accident so I decided to ride on and rode all the way to Rancho Cucamonga.  I really think I could have made it but I didn't really want to ride in the dark and that would have been inevitable even if I travelled onto the Fontana station.  Fortunately, just as I was at the train station and ready to give up the train was heard way off in the distance so I caught it and got home.

Regarding the Law Suit I wish I had better news... On Wednesday night I got a call from Peter and the attorneys called at the last minute panicking because they had to have all the physical evidence in the court room this Friday that would be presented at court.  Damn My heart skips beats just thinking about this.  I think this could have possibly put us at a major disadvantage.  Not only has the attorney's neglected to even meet with us regarding a trial strategy or ask us what we think they may come at us with.  Then on top of that we are paying double the attorney fees because now somehow we have hired two attorneys.  This wouldn't be so bad if we felt it would really help us, but the reality is that they are going to use that against us in the courtroom since Peter and I already see how they are going to present at trial.  These two swindlers bought our business and are now suing us for everything they paid for the business plus money and they went out and had the money to pay for two high priced attorneys to do it so how can they be doing so bad.  That's going to be hard to defend with two attorney's sitting there.  At least at this point we could say we just simply ran out of money.

On Saturday we had Jacob's 7th birthday party again at the house.  That was fun we had a lot of friends over.  Edgar and Lea came and Peter and Erin.  Jacob had a great time and all and all it worked out great.
